A-36 Structural Steel Springs

Stalder Spring has the capacity to manufacture custom A-36 springs. A-36 structural steel springs are a low carbon mild steel with similar properties to the 1018 low carbon steel alloy. Typically, they contain trace amounts of other alloying elements as well, such as manganese, sulfur, phosphorus, and silicon. Relatively ductile, A36 structural steel can be elongated to around 20% of its original length during tensile testing. This combined with its ultimate tensile strength of somewhere between 58,000 to 79,800 psi makes A-36 structural steel custom springs an excellent option for a number of industries, including:

  • Agriculture
  • Manufacturing
  • Construction
  • Petrochemical
  • Sports & Recreation
