Spring Fatigue Testing Services
Stalder Spring offers extensive spring fatigue analysis and diagnostic services. We can send material to a lab if necessary, however, usually our considerable experience and expert technicians allow us to identify the problem quickly and efficiently. If we do need to send to a lab, the tests that can be run include:
- Microscope examination for tool marks, erosion and other causes of failure SEM (scanning electron microscope) examination for comprehensive fracture analysis
- Spectrographic analysis for material chemistry identification of corrosive agents NDE (nondestructive evaluation) such as liquid penetrant of Magnaflux inspection X-ray diffraction for measuring residual stress
- Brinell, Rockwell, and Knoop testing to evaluate hardness and efficacy of heat treating
- Salt Spray Testing
- Fatigue (cycle) testing
