Oil Tempered Wire and Springs

Oil tempered wire is a through-hardened steel material that is hardened at the end of the drawing process by quenching. It has a higher tensile than hard drawn material. Oil tempered springs have good general service usage where corrosion resistance is not a factor. Oil tempered wire can not be electroplated. Other coating options are available.
